Join us for an enchanting evening at the historic River Oaks Theatre where the talented singers from the Gilbert & Sullivan Society of Houston will grace the stage before a special screening of the acclaimed 1999 film Topsy-Turvy! 🌟

This musical period drama, crafted by visionary director Mike Leigh, delves into the dynamic partnership of playwright W.S. Gilbert and composer Arthur Sullivan. Witness their creative struggles and triumphs, which sparked the creation of iconic works like The Mikado. The film beautifully illustrates life in 1880s Britain, intertwining historical events with personal stories.

The Gilbert & Sullivan Society of Houston, celebrating its 75th season, is the oldest opera company in Houston. This summer, they will present The Gondoliers over four performances at the Wortham Theater Center.
