Tuesday Jam - A contact improvisation dance jam CCAP

Join us for an exhilarating Contact Improvisation (CI) dance jam every Tuesday during Spring 2026! This event is organized by the non-profit association Kontaktimprovisation Stockholm.

🗓 When: Tuesdays 18:00 - 20:00
📅 Dates: 10 februari - 26 maj
🚪 Doors Open: 17:45 & 18:45 (arrive at one of these times to be let in)
📍 Where: Ccap, Körsbärsvägen 9, 114 23 Stockholm
💰 Price: 50 kr per jam for members, 100 kr for non-members. Payment via Swish or cash only.

Each week, a jam host will manage the space and may facilitate a short group warm-up, but participants can also opt for their own warm-up. Expect a more focused environment with two set arrival times! Some weeks may include specific themes to explore together.

🎶 What is Contact Improvisation?
CI is an engaging form of dance art emphasizing awareness of movement in relation to your surroundings, balancing physical contact with others while moving dynamically. It offers a unique experience of fluidity and connection, fostering improvisation among participants. Developed in the 1970s in the USA, it has spread globally, captivating many dance communities.

💃 About the Jam:
Open to anyone curious about dancing in contact, this event encourages all forms of movement and interaction while being mindful of the improvisational space. Please be respectful—conversations should take place outside the studio. Feel free to step aside if you need a break.
