Tuesday Jam - A contact improvisation dance jam CCAP

Welcome to the Tuesday Jam, a vibrant contact improvisation dance session hosted by the non-profit association Kontaktimprovisation Stockholm! 🎉

Join us for an invigorating evening where creativity flows and movement thrives! Each week, a jam host will manage the space and handle practicalities. Some weeks will feature a brief group warm-up, while on other occasions, participants will prepare individually. Expect an engaging atmosphere where a theme may be proposed for collaborative exploration. 💃

This is a 2-hour jam designed for focused practice with two designated arrival times at 17:45 and 18:45, allowing you to choose the best option for your schedule.

💰 Pricing:

• Members: 50 SEK per jam
• Non-Members: 100 SEK per jam

About Contact Improvisation:
Contact Improvisation is a dynamic and multi-dimensional dance art form that emphasizes awareness of your movements in relation to your environment, fellow dancers, and gravity. 🌌 It's about finding fluidity and connection through physical contact, enabling an ever-evolving flow of dance characterized by unpredictability. This practice originated in the 1970s within the realm of experimental postmodern dance in the USA and has since become a beloved practice worldwide.

About the Jam:
The Tuesday Jam welcomes anyone curious about dancing in contact. Whether you choose to dance, observe, or simply soak up the atmosphere, you are free to engage at your own pace. Please note that conversation and socialization are encouraged outside of the studio to maintain focus on the dance. Feel free to step aside if you wish to take a break! 🌊 Dance barefoot and wear comfortable clothing.
