USS Oriskany, The LuLu, and Navy Tugs Weekend (Oct. 10-11, 2026)

Dive Sites:

• USS Oriskany (CV-34): An 888-foot Essex-class aircraft carrier, intentionally sunk on May 17, 2006, to create the world's largest artificial reef, the Great Carrier Reef. Located 22–25 miles off Pensacola, Florida, this site offers a maximum depth of 212 feet and is a challenging destination for scuba divers.

• The LuLu: A 271-foot retired coastal freighter sunk in 2013 to support reef development. Situated just 17 nautical miles south of Perdido Pass, it features a multi-level design perfect for exploration, with numerous rooms and hiding spots for marine life. Dive here for both fun and challenges, suitable for all experience levels! 🐟
