À propos de l'événement

Students of the bachelor's and master's programs in choreography at the Department of Dance at HAMU present an evening of original dance works combining literary inspiration, personal themes, and reflections on the present. Five choreographies, five different worlds, and one shared space.

Amálie Cuplová – POLEDNICE

Set in a timeless reality, this dance production explores the changing
roles of family and the tensions in their relationships, where Mother, Child, and Father balance between
archetype and the present, revealing the fragile boundary between care, expectation,
and affect.

Vladlena Klimek – Artist in Starvation

The choreography redefines Kafka's motif of starvation as a cycle in which the human
body, in a futile struggle with time, turns into a replaceable part of the system.

Melánia Ondrejčiková – Actes

This choreographic dance theater piece situates existential questions in an office, where
the repetition of small tasks reveals a quiet search for meaning and dignity.

Alice Silná – The Old Man and the Sea

This adaptation of Hemingway's story combines contemporary dance with movement
theater and object work, reflecting on man's relationship with nature and the clash between tradition
and modernization.

Kateřina Zemanová – UMBRUCH

A reinterpretation of the legend of the Golem reveals human fragility in
a technological world where the body becomes part of a mechanism that strips away
identity and control.

An evening in which dance tells stories known from books and everyday situations come to life through the original vision of young choreographers.
