Vystoupily ze stínu: Běla Kolářová

The final lecture in the series Stepping Out of the Shadows, focusing on six prominent Czechoslovak female artists of the second half of the 20th century, will concentrate on Běla Kolářová.

She worked for a long time in the shadow of her husband Jiří Kolář before fully emancipating herself as an independent artist. We will take a closer look at her experimental work, her use of everyday materials, themes related to the female experience, and her journey to finding her own artistic voice. The lecture will be given by art historian Markéta Čejková.
