On August 15, 2026, we will take the T+T van to the charming community of Schuyler (pronounced “Skyler”).

🕵️‍♂️ Tour Highlights:

• Private Tour of the Earl Hamner House: Explore the boyhood home of Earl Hamner, the creator and voice of The Waltons.
• Lunch: Enjoy a meal from nearby Ike’s Market Deli, delivered to the Walton Home where we will dine in the iconic dining room.
• Visit Walton’s Mountain Museum: Discover props, set replicas, and a 30-minute video featuring Earl Hamner and the stars of The Waltons.
• Ice Cream Treat: Savor hand-scooped ice cream before we head back around 2:30 PM.
• Quarry Gardens: On our way home, we will stop by the Quarry Gardens, showcasing nature and botanical beauty from the historic Alberene Soapstone Company.

💰 Price: $49.00 per person (full payment due upon reservation). Lunch is at your own expense.

Includes: Guided tour of Walton's Homestead, roundtrip transportation via parks and recreation transit van, and a tour host.

🚌 Departure: 9:30 AM from City of Roanoke Public Works Building, 1802 Courtland Rd, NE. Return around 5:00 PM.
