Workshop 1: Create & Critique / Ages 6-11

👦👧 Who: Young makers and art enthusiasts, ages 6-11
🏡 Where: Some Good Wine, 13 E. 8th Street (between 5th and University)

  Class is limited to 8 students!

No previous skills are needed—just a love for art, a desire to have fun, learn new things, and meet new friends!

🖌 About the Workshop:
Led by artist Laura Loving (www.StudioLauraLoving.com), this workshop brings together young creatives for a focused, art-filled two-hour adventure.

Young artists will explore the story and symbolism of the Statue of Liberty through Laura’s colorful painting, Lady Liberty. Students will learn how artists use line, color, shape, and composition to communicate ideas and emotions.

Together, we'll look closely at artwork, practice sharing observations and opinions in a positive and respectful way, and discover how art can tell stories and express personal meaning. Inspired by the techniques in Lady Liberty, each student will create their own unique cityscape drawing filled with color, energy, and imagination.

🗣 Class Conclusion: A supportive group critique where students celebrate each other's creativity, practice thoughtful communication, and build confidence in discussing art.
