Write In!

🔔 Please Note: We won't be meeting in the lobby! Instead, please head to the 7th floor (accessible via Elevator A). Walk back to the register with the pizza oven, where we gather at one or both of the long rectangular tables.

Born in November 2016 as a NaNoWriMo write-in group, we initially met for that month and decided to continue as a community! While we focus on our own writing, we also enjoy word wars, sprints, and prompts from time to time. Starting at OBA Amsterdam and later discovering Scheltema, which catered to all our needs (tables, comfy chairs, power, internet, and coffee), we faced a setback when Covid impacted our venue.

Now, we’re back at the Central Library in Amsterdam on the 7th floor, specifically at the restaurant near the hot food pick-up point. To find us: take Elevator A (once you enter the library, head up the steps to your right) to the 7th floor, walk straight back past the first register and buffet until you find us. We write together for 1.5 hours and then enjoy drinks afterwards!
