12-Step Eucharist, Open Meeting (Fellowship), Refreshments
Join us for the Quarterly 12-Step Eucharist and Open Meeting with refreshments! 🙏 Everyone is welcome—whether you're in recovery, a friend of someone in recovery, or just curious about the 12 steps. This gathering features a unique communion service that blends scripture with the principles of the 12 steps, demonstrating their vital role in the Episcopal Eucharist.
Our upcoming dates are:
- May 8 (Preacher: The Rev. Dorothy White)
- August 14
- November 20
This service is designed for all, regardless of your familiarity with the 12 steps. It's a friendly, come-as-you-are celebration aimed at those affected by addiction, allowing everyone to explore the spirituality of recovery.
The roots of the Episcopal Church's connection to 12-step recovery date back to 1935, when Dr. Samuel Shoemaker collaborated with Bill W. and Dr. Bob S. to form what is now known as Alcoholics Anonymous (AA). This approach has since inspired countless other recovery programs.
Whether you're deeply involved or just interested, we invite you to experience how the 12 steps can assist you in seeking God's grace and leading a more authentic life. Let's come together to celebrate sobriety and pray for peace! 💜
