Alaska Jazz Workshop Quintet in Concert

Join us for an unforgettable evening of jazz at the Bunnell Street Arts Center! 🎤 The Alaska Jazz Workshop faculty and their special guests will be performing a collaborative jazz concert featuring:

• John Damberg: Percussionist, composer, and AJW director 🎼
• Yngvil Vatn Guttu: Trumpet player, composer, and founder of Spenard Jazz Fest 🎺
• Bob Andrews: Anchorage’s premier jazz bassist 🎶
• Special Guests:
  • Amina Figarova: Composer and jazz pianist 🎹
  • Bart Platteau: Renowned jazz flutist 🥁

The performance will take you through contemporary jazz influenced by West African, Caribbean, Brazilian, and American Jazz & Blues rhythms, mixed with original compositions by Amina Figarova. 🌍✨
