AI-driven research and synthetic audiences have gone from demo to deployment faster than anyone predicted. The question is no longer "does it work?" but "where does it earn trust, and what does an Insight team look like once AI handles more of the execution?"
Most Insight functions are still working out where and how it fits. What's clear: as AI takes on more of the execution, the role of Insight teams shifts towards a nimble layer that defines what "good" looks like. Expert judgement moves up the stack to design, calibrate, and hold the work accountable.
Two teams at the front of that shift open the evening.
Arlo's premise: delegate the work to specialist agents you brief like a researcher and judge on what they deliver – spun out of Focaldata, an AI-powered research company. It points at the real story – the Insight function moving from execution engine to a leaner team running fleets of agents, closer to the point of decision, without losing transparency or accountability.
Electric Twin takes the other half: synthetic audiences built from a company's own customer data, responding in seconds rather than weeks – every audience benchmarked against real survey data and honest about where it holds up and where it doesn't. That's the interesting line: where a synthetic audience earns trust, and the questions you still shouldn't ask it.
Justin Ibbett and Ben Warner will open each theme briefly, then hand the conversation to the room.
💡 What we'll get into:
Treating research agents as researchers – how you brief, trust, and judge the work
What the Insight function looks like when agents do the work: closer to the decision, more authority, different skills
Keeping expert judgement, transparency, and accountability at the core as execution gets automated
Where synthetic audiences earn trust today – and the questions you still shouldn't ask them
How accuracy gets validated – testing synthetic responses against real data, and knowing what good looks like

🎙️ Speakers:
Justin Ibbett – Founder & CEO, Focaldata (and the team behind Arlo)
