Drawing inspiration from the richly detailed fabrics, elegant compositions, and ideals of beauty depicted throughout the exhibition, participants will design and hand-dye their own one-of-a-kind silk scarf.Participants may begin by sketching a decorative design inspired by the exhibition or, for those less comfortable with drawing, experimenting with abstract color blending and staining techniques. Step-by-step instructions will guide participants through the process of applying specialty silk paints, blending colors, and creating tonal depth and movement on silk. No prior experience required. This class is designed for ages 18+. All supplies will be provided. For questions regarding the class or registration, please email Programs Manager Neely Simms at nsimms@okcmoa.com.Bonus! Registrants ages 21+ are welcome to stop by the OKCMOA Bar before class and bring a drink to enjoy a relaxed paint-and-sip experience.🖌️ ABOUT THE ARTIST 🖌️Sarah Carnes, MEd, is a local artist educator.
