AtwoodFest Convergence 2026

Kick off AtwoodFest 2026 with your friends and neighbors by participating in the Convergence Parade: a community-led procession beginning at four locations and converging in front of the Clyde Stubblefield Stage located in the United Way parking lot to enjoy a performance of both flash mob dances all together and celebrate as a community with The Handphibians and Ótimo Dance. Gather at 11am at one of four starting points, which will converge on the festival grounds to launch the festival just before noon:- Circle Park- Goodman Community Center by the bike path- Hawthorne Park- Yahara River at Riverside Drive and Winnebago StreetWalking in a parade not SASY enough for you? This year we've collaborated with the Handphibians, Ótimo Dance, Krysten Hagedorn of Madison Circus Space, and the Isthmus Dance Collective to include flashmob parade dances in Convergence. Attend one or both of the classes at the Isthmus Dance Collective Studio at 2709 E Wash OR teach yourself through tutorial videos (coming soon!)Krysten Hagedorn, has collaborated with a Brazilian circus friend to create a samba inspired hoop flow dance. We will have some extra hoops for folks at the class as well as at the Convergence locations. Come learn some hoop dance Wednesday, July 8th at 6:30pmÓtimo Dance has created a classical samba spectacle that you can perform right alongside them. Attend that class on Wednesday, July 15th at 6:30pm. Both classes have a suggested donation of $15 to help cover space expenses, however no one will be turned away.Are you inspired to participate in another way? Wear a costume! Bring some noisemakers or instruments to play along with the Handphibians! Get your silliest group of friends to walk with you! The heartbeat of the neighborhood is US!
