AUDITION: Into the Woods

Join us for auditions for the enchanting musical Into the Woods, brought to life by the creative duo James Lapine and Stephen Sondheim! 🌟 This modern classic intertwines the stories of beloved fairytale characters on a journey that unveils their deepest desires and the unexpected consequences that follow.

About the Show:
The story follows a Baker and his Wife, Cinderella, and Jack, among others, as they embark on a quest to achieve their dreams. But beware—every wish granted may lead to unforeseen repercussions!

Audition Details:

• Open to: Actors of ALL ages (see character descriptions for specific age ranges)
• Dates & Time:
  • Monday, July 20: 6:30-10:30 PM
  • Tuesday, July 21: 6:30-10:30 PM
  • Wednesday, July 22: 6:30-10:30 PM
• Location: St. Mark’s Episcopal Church, 301 A Street SE, Washington, DC 20003

Preparation Guidelines:

• Please prepare 16-32 bars of a song in the style of Into the Woods (avoid songs directly from the show).
• An accompanist will be provided; no acapella auditions.
• Bring sheet music for the accompanist.
• While there is no dance call, be prepared to discuss your movement/dance experience.

Special Note for Young Auditioners:
We encourage children aged 8-12 to audition for the Narrator role! 👦👧
