BioBlitz Community Event

Calling all nature lovers, families, and curious explorers! Join us for a community BioBlitz — a fun, hands-on event where participants of all ages work together to find and document as many living species as possible. 🌎

Discover the beauty of the Wetlands and explore the wonders of Lytle Creek as we search for birds, insects, plants, fish, and everything in between. 🦋

Why join?

• A BioBlitz is citizen science in action! Every plant, animal, and insect you spot helps build a real snapshot of the biodiversity in our own backyard. 🌼
• It's a great way to learn from local naturalists, connect with your community, and experience the Wetlands and Lytle Creek in a whole new way. No experience needed — just bring your curiosity! 🤗

What to bring:

• Comfortable walking shoes that can get a little muddy 👟
• Water bottle, sunscreen, and bug spray ☀️🦟
• A smartphone or camera to photograph your finds (the iNaturalist app is a great tool!) 📱
• Binoculars or magnifying glasses if you have them 🔍
