Botanical walks - Eastern side of Blaauwberg Reserve

Join the Friends of Blaauwberg Conservation Area (FoBCA) for a series of NEW guided botanical walks along the breathtaking Renosterveld Trail on the eastern slope of Blaauwberg Hill! 🏞️ Explore the Critically Endangered Swartland Shale Renosterveld, which boasts the richest diversity of bulb species among veld types.

Over six vibrant walks, experience nature's beauty as the trail bursts with color! 🎨🌸

Trail Details:

• Distance: Approximately 2 km, mostly easy terrain with one short sandy section and two steep slopes.
• Elevation Gain: 100 m.
• Enjoy stunning 360-degree views from the hilltop! 🌄
• Duration: Around 3 hours and 30 minutes (gate-to-gate).

Important Notes:

• Groups must enter and exit together; early exits are not allowed inside the reserve.
• Booking is required.
• Free for FoBCA members; only R50 per participant (children under 18 are free!).
