‘Chica Checa’ on Saturday 25.7 at 20h at Bio Oko

Join us on Saturday, July 25th, for a screening of Chica Checa at Kino Bio Oko. The film begins at 20:30.

You’ll find me (wearing a bright pink/flowery scarf) at the Kino Bio Oko café from 8 pm.

The 2026 comedy-drama, directed by Czech filmmaker, and FAMU alum, Šimon Holý, recently had its world premiere at the Karlovy Vary International Film Festival, where it competed for the Crystal Globe. The movie ‘explores a widow’s journey as she deals with her son’s hidden identity as a drag queen. But both mother and son discover that reinvention is possible at any age’ (here).
