Children & Language: Helping Your Child Thrive in Denmark

Children & Language: Helping Your Child Thrive in Denmark

Info sull'evento

Join us for a FREE webinar designed for parents eager to support their child's language journey in Denmark! 🇩🇰✨

This event is perfect for families who have recently relocated and are navigating a new language and culture. Language is key to children's well-being, confidence, and sense of belonging, influencing how they thrive in social and emotional settings. 💬💖

During the session, you'll explore:

  • How children learn new languages while maintaining their mother tongue(s) 📚
  • The stages children go through in their language development 🚀
  • Strategies to encourage language use, especially if your child is hesitant to engage in a specific language 🙏

The webinar will feature a presentation by Amanda Sandegaard, a linguist and MA in children’s language and literature, who has been sharing her insights at Copenhagen Libraries for the past six years. 🎓🌟 Before the event, participants will receive a brief video introduction to help prepare your questions for the live Q&A following Amanda’s presentation. 🎥❓

This initiative is co-funded by the European Union through the Interreg ØKS program and is part of the Cross-border Talent Bridge project. Learn more about the project here: Cross-border Talent Bridge 💼🌍
