Join us for the next Craft Intensives workshop as we delve into Giada Scodellaro's Ruins, Child and Jane Blocker's Where is Ana Mendieta? These texts explore land, ruin, and the earth-bound body — emphasizing how these themes shed light on women's narratives that have been lost, inscribed, or occasionally recovered.

Workshop Highlights:

• Writing toward absence: Crafting meaning from omission and loss.
• Haunting as structure: Understanding how persistence shapes a text.
• Ruin and accumulation: Treating fragments as complete entities.
• Identity as unstable ground: Navigating the fluidity of self, body, and belonging.
• The silueta and the choral voice: Using prismatic arrangements to reflect imprint and disappearance.

We will closely read excerpts from both texts, analyzing the distinct yet resonant approaches of each writer. This will be followed by guided writing time to create new work, whether poetry, hybrid, or prose.

Participants will critique one writer's submitted piece, which will be shared for pre-reading.

Excerpts of Ruins, Child and Where is Ana Mendieta? will be provided and read during the workshop.
