Crown Up: Empowering African American Youth Through Hair Care 2-Day Event

Crown Up is a FREE 2-day educational and empowerment event tailored for African American boys and girls ages 8–18. This interactive experience focuses on teaching youth the fundamentals of hair care while inspiring confidence, self-expression, and pride in their natural beauty.

Participants will engage in hands-on skills and techniques, including:

• 💇‍♂️ Braiding and weaving hair
• ✂️ Hair cutting and trimming
• 🎨 Hair coloring basics
• 🌱 Protective and everyday styles
• 🔍 Understanding hair textures, styles, cuts, and details
• 🧴 General hair care and maintenance
