About Diego Rivera:
Diego Rivera is an acclaimed American jazz saxophonist, composer, and educator, recognized for his dynamic tenor saxophone sound that beautifully fuses straight-ahead jazz with influences from his Mexican-American heritage. Since 1999, he has established himself as a leading voice in contemporary jazz, touring alongside renowned artists like Grammy-winning vocalist Kurt Elling and jazz singer Sophie Milman. 🎤🌎

Rivera’s impressive discography boasts critically acclaimed albums such as Connections, Indigenous, Mestizo, Love & Peace, and West Circle, showcasing collaborations with notable musicians. Besides his performance career, he is also a dedicated educator, serving as the Director of Jazz Studies at the University of Texas at Austin, inspiring the next generation of jazz artists while expanding the horizons of modern jazz through performance and storytelling. 📖🎵
