Digable Planets, known for their Grammy-winning single D58Rebirth Of Slick (Cool Like Dat). D9, burst onto the scene in 1993 with their unique blend of jazz and hip hop. The trio, comprised of Ishmael "Butterfly" Butler, Craig “Doodlebug” Irving, and Mary Ann “Ladybug Mecca” Vieira, took the music world by storm, achieving the 15th spot on the Billboard Hot 100 with their infectious sound.

Their debut album, Reachin’ (A New Refutation of Time And Space), was hailed by Pitchfork as “a world within a world” and became an artistic statement addressing city life and social issues. Certified gold by RIAA, this album led to an unforgettable legacy.

In 1994, they followed with Blowout Comb, a vibrant reflection on Black liberation, which, despite its initial reception, has grown to influence numerous artists and genres.

Celebrating three decades since this landmark album, the group is hitting the road with their full five-piece band, sharing their musical journey across North America. As Butterfly states: "Together, we're able to take all of the music, which is a bunch of disparate samples from here and there, and really represent that era of music in an updated way."
