We are thrilled to feature the esteemed John Sear, a renowned underwater photographer and dedicated citizen scientist with over 25 years of experience documenting Sydney’s vibrant underwater ecosystem. With more than 10,000 observations on iNaturalist and countless hours in the water, John's work has revealed an astonishing 450 fish species in Cabbage Tree Bay!

As a co-author of the Fishes of Cabbage Tree Bay guide, John will share breathtaking imagery and insightful stories about the remarkable biodiversity just off Shelly Beach. This is a unique opportunity to dive into recent discoveries and the ongoing research that enhances our understanding of this remarkable marine environment.
