Dixieland to Detroit: A journey through blues and jazz
Join us for an unforgettable musical adventure that travels from the vibrant sounds of Dixieland to the soulful streets of Detroit! 🎶
As part of The Questors Community Festival, this event showcases the rich history of jazz from the early 1900s to the blues and bebop of the mid-20th century.
Kick off the evening with the delightful Ealing Very Senior Hot Jazz Orchestra! 🎷 Led by talented musicians, including:
- Jeremy Robinson on trumpet and cornet,
- Gill Hilton on clarinet,
- Peter Hutchison on tenor saxophone,
- Denis Barry on banjo,
- Jamie Royan on double bass.
Prepare to be taken back to the Roaring Twenties as they reinterpret classics from jazz legends like Louis Armstrong, Duke Ellington, and Bix Beiderbecke, featuring influences from the marching bands of New Orleans!
Next up, make way for 59 de Ville! 🚗 Named after a classic Cadillac, this ensemble brings a fresh sound, blending blues, bebop, and timeless standards. Enjoy the performance with:
- Jamie Royan returning on double bass & bass guitar,
- Jeremy Robinson on trumpet and flugelhorn,
