As Europe navigates through growing geopolitical uncertainty and increasing global competition, the clean energy transition emerges as not just a climate imperative but a necessity for resilience. Recent energy supply disruptions have underscored the importance of reducing dependence on imported fossil fuels, while the global race for clean energy technologies strengthens the need for Europe to maintain its industrial leadership.
Decarbonisation, energy security, and competitiveness are interconnected priorities that call for a unified, research-driven response.
The 6th edition of the EERA High-Level Policy Conference will serve as a platform for forward-thinking dialogue on how low-carbon energy research and innovation can effectively tackle these challenges. Expect grounded, science-informed insights and meaningful discussions among policymakers, researchers, industry leaders, and think tank representatives about how research can pave the way for a secure, competitive, and decarbonised Europe.
This year's flagship event will focus on three pivotal themes:

3️⃣ How do we prepare energy systems for unpredictable shocks?
The conference will be hosted both in-person at TownHall Europe in Brussels and online.
