Electronic Waste Recycling, Bulk Item Disposal and Secure Document Destruction Event

Elgin residents are invited to participate in an electronic waste recycling, bulk item disposal, and secure document destruction event hosted by the City of Elgin and LRS.

🗓️ Date: Saturday, Aug. 8
🕗 Time: 8:00 AM - 11:00 AM
📍 Location: City of Elgin Public Works facility, 1900 Holmes Road

Requirements:

• A valid Illinois driver's license or state ID showing an Elgin address is required to participate.

Fees:

• Electronic Waste Recycling & Bulk Item Disposal: $20 per vehicle (credit card only, cash not accepted).
• Large Wood or Metal Television Consoles: $40 special fee. If bringing this type of console with other items, the total fee is $60.
• Secure Document Shredding: Free if it is your only service.
