Expert Session: Liza Reed

🤓 About the Expert!

Liza Reed is the Director for Climate and Energy at the Niskanen Center. She focuses on establishing market-based solutions to address climate change, including increasing market access for clean energy technologies and expanding high-capacity electric transmission.

Prior to joining Niskanen, Reed worked on strategic initiatives for the Department of Energy’s Grid Deployment Office, including permitting and financing for electricity transmission. Before that, she worked in grant writing, wireless communication technology development, and business analysis.

Reed earned a doctorate in engineering and public policy from Carnegie Mellon University and a master’s degree and a bachelor’s degree in electrical and computer engineering from The Ohio State University.
