‘Exploring The Northern Heights’ Railway Children Charity Event
Join us for a unique tour as we journey through the remnants of a railway intended to be part of the iconic London Underground! 🏙️✨ Organized by Nathaniel Dodd, your expert guide, you'll delve into the fascinating history of the Edgware branch line, which was opened in 1867 by the Great Northern Railway and was slated to contribute to the Northern Line by 1941.
Highlights of the Tour:
- 🚆 Train journey with Govia Great Northern from Moorgate to Finsbury Park, with historical insights along the way.
- 🌳 A scenic walk along the disused railway path from Finsbury Park station to Highgate station through the Parkland Walk Nature Reserve.
- 🍽️ Enjoy a discounted lunch at The Old White Lion gastro pub.
- 🚇 A private tube train ride from Highgate Depot to Mill Hill East via East Finchley on the Northern Line.
- 🚌 Conclude with a nostalgic bus tour from Mill Hill East to the Edgware Northern Line terminus.
With only 28 spaces available, this exclusive tour is guaranteed to sell out quickly! 🏃♂️💨 All proceeds will go to Railway Children, supporting vulnerable young people at risk in the UK, India, and Tanzania.
Please Note: While the organizer will strive to deliver the tour as planned, some elements may be adjusted due to circumstances beyond control.
