Join us every Friday from July 10th to August 28th from 4 PM to 7 PM for an evening drop-in program filled with delightful themes centering around La Catrina!
🎨 Weekly Themes:
- July 10th - Printing like Posada: Create your own print inspired by the iconic La Catrina garbancera of José Guadalupe Posada!
- July 17th - Marigold Magic: Enjoy tea made from marigolds and craft your own paper marigolds!
- July 24th - Frida, Flowers, and Fun!: Inspired by La Friducha Artist, make fabulous foam flower headbands reminiscent of Frida Kahlo's iconic accessories.
- July 31st - Papel Picado Party: Explore Diego Rivera’s La Catrina and learn about ofrendas while making your own papel picado for decoration.
- August 7th - Earth to eARTh: Discover Lady Mictlan and create art from soil and clay to celebrate life's cycles!
- August 14th - Abundant Offerings: Learn about La Vendedora de Frutas, weave a small basket, and enjoy some delicious fruits while creating an ofrenda.
- August 21st - Wings and Whereabouts: Explore the symbolism of the monarch butterfly in Mexican culture and create wings that reflect your own journey.
- August 28th - María's Movie Night: Celebrate with a movie highlighting María Felix at North Columbus Library followed by sweet treats and activities in the garden!
