Festival PROTOTYP 2026: PROTOTYP in the City
This year, Festival PROTOTYP is heading fully into the city for the very first time. From 1 to 3 October, the centre of Brno will light up with digital art, videomappings, light installations and audiovisual interventions. Art, science and technology will no longer wait behind gallery walls – they will enter the streets, squares, façades and selected interiors of the city.
A large part of the programme will be free of charge, complemented by workshops and the traditional opening fashion performance.
Those who want to go one step further can choose the PROTOTYP Pass. It will take visitors along a special paid route with limited capacity and a more concentrated festival experience. The route will also include an immersive audiovisual show in the Church of St. James, opening roughly two weeks before the festival begins. This year, PROTOTYP brings digital art closer to people than ever before – right into their everyday journey through the city.
