Formartine & Buchan 6&12 Ultra

Join us for an exhilarating 12-hour ultra marathon along the scenic Formartine & Buchan railway line from Maud station to Auchnagatt! 🛤️ The route stretches approximately 4.3 miles, and competitors aim to run as far as they can within the 12 hours. To earn a medal and goodie bag, participants must complete a minimum distance of 26.3 miles, with an option to run extra laps towards the end. 🥇

  • 12-hour: 07:00 AM
  • 6-hour: 01:00 PM
• Finish Time: 07:00 PM

Experience the challenge and see how far your mind can take you! While prior marathon experience is preferred, it is not mandatory. Each runner is encouraged to have a support crew who can assist at either end of the route.

Age Restrictions: Participants must be 20 years or older per Scottish Athletics rules.

Prizes will be awarded in several categories for the 12-hour race: Male and Female, Senior, Veteran, Vet 50, and Vet 60. Additionally, trophies will be given for the top three in the 6-hour race, along with a bespoke champion trophy awarded annually to the top male and female.
