Info sull'evento

Join us for a thought-provoking evening as we delve into the significance of grounding on a Black planet. This event invites you to a communal journey through sound, memory, and diasporic connections. Curated by HOUSE OF DREAD, this participatory evening explores themes such as archive, ritual, nationhood, and Black life across various geographies.

Inspired by Walter Rodney's work, we approach 'groundings' as a method of gathering, listening, and reasoning together. The venue transforms for one night into a space for engagement, featuring sound, moving images, and live interventions. Expect an atmosphere filled with silences, fragments, and rich archival materials that encourage you to join in a shared experience rather than observe from afar.

Together, we will contemplate questions of memory, land, and inheritance, exploring how these concepts shape our lived experiences. This gathering fosters collective thinking on our relationships—how we connect, what we carry with us, and what remains unresolved.
