Join us for a delightful morning kayak tour along the picturesque, tree-lined Fox River! 🛶 This guided adventure will take you past local gems like the Cave of the Spirit at Red Oak Nature Center and the majestic bald eagle’s nest near Mooseheart School. ⛵️

Make sure to save room for a delicious stop at Harner’s Bakery to treat yourself to one of their famous donuts! 🍩 Throughout the journey, you'll have the chance to observe incredible local wildlife, including bald eagles, osprey, deer, beavers, muskrats, great blue herons, egrets, and kingfishers. 🦅🐾

This tour is suitable for kayakers of all skill levels. It includes a manageable portage around a dam in North Aurora, ensuring everyone can enjoy this beautiful experience.

We'll start at the Aurora Athletic Club where you can park your car before being shuttled to Glenwood Park Forest Preserve. Once there, you'll receive kayaks, paddles, and personal flotation devices (PFDs) along with essential dryland instruction covering:

• How to kayak in a straight line
• Steering techniques
• Stopping methods
• Staying upright and comfortable

After the instruction, our guide will assist you in launching your kayak into the water, and you’ll be ready to begin your adventure! 🌟 Please note that participants must be at least 15 years old and weigh 100 lbs.
