Jan Hrubý a přátelé + host: Ondřej Fencl + Hromosvod

Info sull'evento

The legendary matador joins Ondřej Fencl's band. The large band will perform some of the greatest classics, which would be hard to imagine without Hrubý's magical violin - Špejchar blues, Láska je jako večernice, Funebráci, Sladké je žít, Astrolog, Yetti Blues, Doteky, Velikej hever, Hudba pro nalezené harmonium.

It goes without saying that Ondřej Fencl will also be appearing as a guest of the evening with his regular backing band and the album Sen nenasytných kluků (The Dream of Insatiable Boys), which was recently voted album of the year by journalists. The connection with Jan Hrubý, with whom Fencl plays in several other bands (including Vladimír Merta's), is obvious. Look forward to unpretentious lyrics full of internal rhymes and unusual turns of phrase, credible vocals, two virtuoso violins, Knopfler-esque guitar, and earthy rhythms that once graced such supergroups as B.S.P., Kollerband, and Krucipüsk.

Violinist Hrubý and singer, keyboardist, and guitarist Fencl are accompanied by elite Czech sidemen—Vojtěch Jindra on electric guitar (Bran, among others), Hana K. Vyšínská on violin ( Inflagranti), bass guitar Jan Neruda (V. Martinová, Pocta Z. Navarové, 5P, among others), and Tomáš Marek on drums (Lucie, Kollerband, Petra Janů, Ilona Csáková, among others).

There will be songs from the chronicle of Czech rock music by Vladimír Mišík, Michal Prokop, and Vladimír Merta, instrumentals reminiscent of Scotland and Ireland, as well as original works by 44-year-old Ondřej Fencl, also known from Luboš Pospíšil's 5P, the recent Marsyas lineup, Schodiště, Poetické večery with actress Kristýna Ryška, and others.
