The Kanda Myojin Summer Festival is a popular summer event held at Kanda Myojin Shrine in Tokyo. It is a unique festival where traditional Japanese culture meets modern entertainment.

During the festival, you can enjoy Bon Odori, various stage performances, food stalls, and more. The shrine grounds are filled with people enjoying the lively atmosphere of a traditional Japanese summer festival. One of the highlights is experiencing delicious festival food, music, and entertainment while soaking up the festive atmosphere.

☕ The event starts at a café! We'll first meet at a café and enjoy English conversation and international exchange in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere.

Before we head out, we'll have a short self-introduction session, so first-time participants and those joining alone are more than welcome!

After enjoying some time getting to know each other at the café, we'll walk through the streets of Tokyo at night on our way to Kanda Myojin Shrine.

Walking together while enjoying the city lights and the warm summer night atmosphere is also one of the highlights of this event.

Once we arrive at Kanda Myojin Shrine, we'll explore the many food stalls and enjoy the lively festival atmosphere!

Then, we'll join in one of the main highlights of the Kanda Myojin Summer Festival — Bon Odori!
Bon Odori is a traditional Japanese dance that is an iconic part of summer festivals in Japan. People form a circle around a raised platform called a yagura and dance together to the rhythm of traditional music and taiko drums.
