We are thrilled to announce the return of the Kaolinite Aquathlon in 2026! 📅

Join us in the breathtaking surroundings of Blackpool Pit near St Austell, a unique disused quarry that offers an unforgettable backdrop for an action-packed day. 🏞️

Event Highlights:

• A unique venue: Blackpool Pit, which closed in 2007 after 170 years of operation, once employed over 500 locals and is now an incredible, largely deserted landscape over 300ft deep and over a kilometer long.
• Aquathlon Competition: Compete in our main event which includes a thrilling 3km swim in the warm, crystal-clear waters of the pit, followed by a 15km trail run on the picturesque routes surrounding the quarry. 🏊‍♀️🏃‍♀️
• Team or Individual Participation: Join solo or partner up—one person can swim while the other runs. Alternatively, participate in just the 3km swim or the 15km run, both happening simultaneously.

All entrants will receive an event memento and a silicone swim hat for those participating in the swim. 🎁
