🛶 The Plan
We’ll head to the Aiguamolls de l’Empordà for a beautiful day combining kayaking, nature, birdwatching, an easy hike and time by the water.
We’ll start with a 2-hour guided kayak activity from Sant Pere Pescador, paddling through the peaceful surroundings of the Fluvià river, inside the Parc Natural dels Aiguamolls de l’Empordà. This area is one of the most important wetlands in Catalonia: a calm landscape full of riverside vegetation, birds and wildlife.

During the kayak route, we’ll paddle towards the natural area of Illa de Caramany, with time to enjoy the river and take a refreshing swim.
After the kayak, we’ll rest, eat something and then choose the best hiking option depending on timing, weather and the energy of the group.
The main plan is an easy walk through the Aiguamolls, with birdwatching areas where it is often possible to see pink flamingos if we're lucky.

Another possible option is a beautiful coastal hike around L’Escala / Cala Montgó, with sea views, rocky coves and viewpoints.

If we still have time, we may finish the day with another quick swim in the sea before heading back to Barcelona.

🚗 How do we get there?
We’ll go by shared cars from Barcelona. During the registration process, we’ll ask you if you have a car and how many people you can take with you.
Each passenger will give €20 directly to the driver as a contribution for the car costs.
If you prefer to come on your own, you can meet us directly in Sant Pere Pescador at 09:40
