An international couple (an Aussie husband and a Japanese wife) along with language enthusiasts from around the globe gather every Saturday near JR Omori station, Tokyo.

Organized by Mark House, an Ota City International Exchange Group that believes in “connecting through Words, Knowledge, and Heart.” We strive to create an “International Place to belong” beyond school, work, and home in Tokyo.

Here are 10 points about Mark House Language Exchange Lounge Tokyo:

1. Qualified English and Japanese teachers are leading the sessions.
2. A safe and friendly atmosphere where you can come alone and enjoy.
3. One hour of English conversation followed by one hour of Japanese conversation.
4. Change seats every 30 minutes to meet many people.
5. Enjoy casual chatting in English and Japanese after the language exchange!
6. All participants — native speakers or not — are welcomed, including individuals from diverse backgrounds and interests.
7. Relax in pairs or small groups of three to four.
