Light at Night Kayaking

Join us for an enchanting "Light at Night" kayaking adventure in downtown Ottawa! 🛶✨ This 2.5-hour paddle along the beautiful Rideau Canal covers 5.5 km and combines scenic beauty, history, and camaraderie. 🌌

Whether you're a novice or an experienced paddler, this leisurely-paced tour is a fantastic opportunity to connect with fellow paddling enthusiasts while exploring one of Ottawa’s iconic waterways.

You'll be paddling in Oru Beach or tandem Oru Haven folding kayaks, adorned with mesmerizing LED lights that illuminate the waterway! 🌈 The vibrant colors reflect on the canal's surface, creating a spectacular visual experience as you glide through the serene waters.

Event Highlights:

• Launch Point: Patterson Creek, where you’ll receive an introduction to your folding kayak.
• Sunset Paddle: Set off at dusk to capture stunning sunset photos along the iconic landmarks including the University of Ottawa, National Arts Centre, and Chateau Laurier.
• Historical Insights: Learn about the rich history of the Rideau Canal, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, as you pass beneath historic bridges like Pretoria Bridge and Corktown Footbridge. 🌉
