About the Workshops

These lively and inclusive sessions are hosted by Seydou Kienou and other talented guest artists carefully selected by Wooden Roots. Supported by local educators from Haringey Music Service, we aim to inspire both adults and young learners (ages 8-16) in a safe, welcoming environment. Parents or guardians are encouraged to attend with younger participants. 👫

What to Expect

• All Levels Welcome: Whether you’re a complete beginner or an experienced drummer, there’s something for everyone!
• Collaborative Learning: This is a unique space where guest artists, resident teachers, and students come together to share, learn, and have fun. 💃
• Instruments: We provide authentic West African djembes and drums for everyone to play. Don’t have your own? No worries! You can hire one for just £3.00.
