Magic: the Gathering Modern Tournament

Join us for an exciting Magic: the Gathering Modern tournament at Diversions Puzzles & Games in Portsmouth! 🌟

🗓️ Registration & Check-In
Check-in starts one hour prior to the event. Entry Fee: $10.00 per person (store credit cannot be used). The tournament is capped at 16 players. Reserve your spot using the Magic Companion App with lobby code: J2X6DP5.

🏆 Tournament Format
This will be a Swiss-style tournament, played in a Best-of-3 format with each round lasting 60 minutes. The rounds will be determined based on the number of attendees:

• 4-8 players: 3 rounds
• 9-16 players: 4 rounds
  Note: There will be no top cut.

✨ Modern Format Details
This constructed format requires a minimum of 60 cards in the main deck and up to 15 cards in the sideboard. With the exception of basic lands, your deck and sideboard can have a maximum of four copies of any individual card. Each game is a 1v1 match taking around 20 minutes. Cards from 8th edition onwards are legal, except for those officially banned. Check the banned card list here.

🎁 Prizing
Store credits will be awarded to top players based on their standings:

• 1st: $40.00
• 2nd: $30.00
• 3rd - 4th: $20.00
• 5th - 8th: $10.00
  Prizes will be scaled down if fewer than 16 players participate.

Metered parking is available in the Worth Lot behind the store, Bridge Street Lot, Foundry Garage, or Hanover Garage.
