
Manchester United möter Paris Saint – Germain
Two of Europe's biggest football clubs, Manchester United and Paris Saint-Germain, will meet in Gothenburg this summer when they face off at Ullevi Stadium on 8th of August. The highly anticipated match will bring world-class football to Sweden and give Scandinavian fans a rare opportunity to see two global giants compete on Swedish soil. Manchester United's supporters section is located on the south side of the stadium, while Paris Saint-Germain's is on the north side. Standing sections in the supporter areas have an age limit of 13 years.
Manchester United is one of the most successful and historic clubs in world football. Founded in 1878 and based in Manchester, England, the club has won numerous major trophies, including three UEFA Champions League titles (1968, 1999 and 2008) and a record 20 English league championships. The club's legendary 1999 season, when United secured the historic treble of the Premier League, FA Cup and Champions League, remains one of the most iconic achievements in football history. Reigning Champions League holders Paris Saint-Germain, founded in 1970 and based in the French capital, has emerged as one of Europe's most prominent clubs over the past decades. PSG has dominated French football with multiple Ligue 1 titles and numerous domestic cups. In 2025 the club reached a historic milestone by winning its first UEFA Champions League title as part of a remarkable continental treble season, cementing its status among Europe's elite clubs. The team coached by Luis Enrique is still in the race for the 2025/2026 edition, currently competing in the quarter-finals.
Manchester United and Paris Saint-Germain have produced several memorable encounters in European competitions. The teams have met four times in official matches, sharing the wins with two victories each.
Ullevi, one of Scandinavia's most iconic stadiums, has hosted numerous international matches and major sporting events since the 1958 World Cup. This August 8th match promises an exciting summer evening of elite-level football.
