MEA Summer Camp

Join us for the MEA Summer Camp — a fantastic opportunity for members to connect, learn, and grow together as educators and leaders! 🌱

When: Monday, July 27th - Tuesday, July 28th
Where: USM Portland Campus – 88 Bedford Street, Portland, ME 04103
Who: All MEA members (limited space available!)
Cost: FREE for members 💸
Contact Hours: Up to 14 hours 📚

Registration: Open until July 19th
Lodging: A hotel block with a courtesy rate is available on a first come, first serve basis. Rooms must be booked before July 6th. Depending on the sessions you choose, you may be eligible for lodging reimbursement from your district. Check with your union leadership for more details, as some associations include conference lodging in their budgets.

Keynote Speaker:

Desi Peña, M.A., CCC-SLP
Day 1 Plenary Speaker will focus on fostering relationships with multilingual students and families. With the increasing number of multilingual PreK–12 students in Maine, it's vital for educators to effectively connect and communicate with diverse students and their families. Desi will provide actionable strategies to enhance family partnerships and support academic success for all students! 🌍✨
