NEGASS 50th Anniversary Sing-Out
Join us in celebrating a remarkable milestone! The New England Gilbert & Sullivan Society (NEGASS) is thrilled to commemorate its 50th anniversary this fall! 🎂 Founded in 1976 by the esteemed Warren Colson, NEGASS has played a pivotal role in promoting the enjoyment of Gilbert & Sullivan's works.
🌟
As a proud supporter of local performing groups, NEGASS keeps the spirit alive by publicizing events in its bimonthly newsletter, The Trumpet Bray, facilitating advertisements in program books, and organizing group outings to selected performances. We also host popular operetta sings, including a beloved annual read-through with a full orchestra!
🗂️ Our extensive library offers G&S vocal scores for borrowing during group sings and orchestral scores available for rent.
📍 Set in the heart of historic Concord, Massachusetts, you're invited to a weekend filled with singing through all 13 extant operettas (without dialogue!). Participants may request specific roles to sing or operettas to conduct or accompany, and we’ll strive to accommodate your wishes! Everyone is welcome and encouraged to join in on the chorus parts!
🗓️ Registration opens on April 1, 2026, and the fee covers all meals throughout the event, from Friday evening to Sunday afternoon.
