Nina Yamada (JP)

🎧 Born and raised in Kamakura, Japan, and now based in London, Nina Yamada is a DJ and the founder of Jazzy Sport London, the first international branch of the acclaimed independent record label and store, Jazzy Sport, which has been making waves since 2002.

🎶 With a profound influence from her father's expansive vinyl collection, Nina began her DJ journey at a young age, curating a unique sound developed through years of digging and deep listening. Her musical roots are in deep house, yet her sets gracefully traverse genres like Afrobeat, jazz, Latin, reggae, and other groove-driven styles, ensuring a soulful and organic dancefloor experience.

🌍 Nina has graced stages across Europe and Asia, performing at prestigious venues and festivals such as Berghain Panorama Bar in Germany and Wonderfruit in Thailand. In the UK, she opened for Detroit legend Theo Parrish at We Out Here, marking her as a prominent figure on the international scene.

📺 Her "UK Trip Hop" DJ set on the popular YouTube channel My Analog Journal has captivated audiences, garnering over 500,000 views and earning recognition from Mixmag as one of the Top 10 Mixes of 2023.

🎵 As a forward-thinking producer, Nina's innovative mix of deep house and dub shines in an upcoming remix on Wah Wah. Moreover, she is set to debut her EP on her label Jazzy Sport London this year, promising exciting new music for her growing fanbase.
