Objekt is a Berlin-based producer and DJ, born in Tokyo. He broke through in 2011 with his self-released Objekt #1 and #2, quickly earning acclaim for his innovative, genre-defying club tracks and releases on labels like Hessle Audio, alongside remixes for Radiohead and SBTRKT. His standout tracks like "Ganzfeld" and "Theme From Q" have become modern club staples. His albums Flatland (2014) and Cocoon Crush (2018) on PAN further cemented his reputation for detailed, imaginative electronic music, both receiving scores of 8.0 on Pitchfork. As a DJ, he's widely regarded as one of the most compelling of his generation—known for precise, unpredictable sets that move fluidly across genres. His 2016 Kern Vol. 3 mix for Tresor was described by Resident Advisor as "a window into the very essence of DJing." In 2024, he launched the label Kapsela as a platform for his own work and like-minded artists.
