Note: This is a one-off change in venue to Redfern Townhall! We’ll be returning to our regular spot at 55 Erskineville Road in June.

🎉 Join us for a delightful gathering focused on the joy and learning inherent in Contact Improvisation Dance! This beginner-friendly class, led by a team of local teachers and organizers, encourages participants to explore their movements in connection with others.

🤝 What is Contact Improv?
Contact Improvisation (CI) emphasizes spontaneous movement and interaction without predetermined steps or leaders. It offers you the exciting challenge of performing a wide range of dance moves while cultivating skills like:

• Presence
• Leading and following
• Weight sharing
• Flexibility and fitness

💵 Class Prices:

• General Ticket: $30
• Supported Ticket: $10
  (Available for those who may need extra assistance. Please reach out if you need help!)

⏰ Arrive by 5:50 PM for a 6 PM start! Late arrivals are welcome for non-beginners; just let us know ahead of time.
🚗 Street parking is available, along with limited on-site parking. The second nearest train station is just a 2-minute walk away!

👗 Dress Code:
Please wear long pants and sleeves to facilitate comfortable rolling and sliding on the floor.

This event is organized under the Not-For-Profit initiative, Contact Culture, which aims to promote ‘Dance and Democracy.’ We believe that financial constraints should not keep anyone from experiencing dance and community.
