🎶 Melodies of Inspiration: WHCO Concert

Join us for The Places That Inspire Us, an unforgettable concert experience where we delve into music that reflects the beauty of real-world settings and the emotions they evoke. 🌍✨

🎼 Event Highlights:

  • Restless Oceans by Anna Clyne: A dynamic contemporary piece for chamber orchestra capturing the power and turbulence of the sea, inspired by Audre Lorde's poem A Woman Speaks.
  • Knoxville: Summer of 1915 by Samuel Barber: Featuring the talented Ariadne Greif, this piece is a nostalgic reflection on childhood and environment, beautifully set to words by James Agee.
  • Symphony No. 3 “Scottish” by Felix Mendelssohn: A grand homage to the rugged beauty of the Scottish Highlands, concluding our program on a high note.

This concert will last approximately 1 hour with no intermission, followed by a lovely reception. 🍷

Don’t miss this chance to experience the power of music inspired by incredible places!
