Show Your Work: Readings at The Rosedale
Join us for an encouraging evening of readings!
✨ Reading is encouraged, but not required. Feel free to come just to listen!
If you're working on an essay, short story, novel, poem, or anything that doesn’t fit neatly into a category, bring a 5 to 7 minute excerpt to read.
📜 We'll draw names randomly and hear as many pieces as we can in 90 minutes. Expect around 10-12 readers.
🍹 Doors open at 6:00 PM. Grab a drink and settle in! Readings begin at 6:30 PM sharp, and afterward, we'll hang around to chat.
Why Share Your Work?
Because your ear catches what your eyes miss! Reading aloud helps you notice repetition, weak transitions, and stronger areas of your writing. It’s also an essential practice, as most of us write in private.
